It appears that CD Projekt RED, creator of The Witcher series and the upcoming Cyberpunk game, is heading towards multiplayer experiences as they’re hiring a multiplayer programmer to work in their core team. The programmer’s main responsibility will be to prepare CDPR’s engine for challenges of upcoming online component of their future games.
Going into more details, the programmer will be creating a roadmap of changes necessary to add multiplayer to the Red Engine, designing and implementing network layer of the Red Engine, helping in design and implementation of multiplayer changes to existing systems, and participating in shaping the future of the Red Engine.
According to the job listing, CD Projekt RED’s future games will have Multiplayer modes. Which means that either Cyberpunk or the RPG that is set in a Dark Fantasy World (most probably ‘The Witcher 3’) will be enjoyed with multiple players online.
Last but not least, the programmer should be experienced in developing RPG games, as well as with physics in multiplayer environments, and in creating gameplay systems in multiplayer environment.

Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
