The Farm 51 has released a new patch for Chernobylite that adds support for AMD’s latest upscaling tech, FSR 2.0. In addition, and in order to celebrate the game’s first anniversary, the team has released a new free DLC for it.
Do note that in order to use AMD FSR 2.0, you’ll have to run the game in DX12. It’s also worth noting that this latest update improves Ray Tracing effects in some areas. Moreover, it improves overall stability (so you should have less crashes).
Although we won’t be benchmarking AMD FSR 2.0, it’s really great witnessing more and more games adopting it. RTX owners should obviously stick with DLSS. However, owners of other GPUs from both NVIDIA and AMD, can go ahead and give FSR 2.0 a go.
As for the free DLC, here is what The Farm 51 had to say.
“As usual, the developers don’t plan to stop there and have already planned new content to be added to the game by the end of this year. That content starts with a digital narrative called Chernobylite Short Story: The Arrival, featuring Sashko – the main protagonist’s companion – now available for free on Steam and GOG.”
