NINJA GAIDEN Ragebound feature

Classic 2D side-scroller returns with NINJA GAIDEN: Ragebound

Dotemu and The Game Kitchen have announced NINJA GAIDEN: Ragebound, a 2D sidescrolling action platformer channeling the classic and modern NINJA GAIDEN trilogies from KOEI TECMO GAMES. The game will come out in the Summer of 2025, and you can find its debut trailer below.

In NINJA GAIDEN: Ragebound, players take on the role of Kenji Moju. The story begins in Hayabusa Village after Ryu Hayabusa leaves for America to avenge his father’s death, as told in the original NES NINJA GAIDEN game. Suddenly, a doorway to the demon world opens in the village, letting darkness pour in. Kenji Moju, a young ninja from the Hayabusa clan, steps up to fight. He is determined to protect his village and its people from a growing demonic threat in this dangerous time.

The game will feature fast, challenging combat that the series is famous for. The sidescrolling action will be easy to pick up for new players. At the same time, it will offer tough challenges and deep mechanics for experienced ninjas. Players will fight through waves of fierce enemies and demons while dodging deadly traps like fiery hazards, spike pits, and deep chasms.

Kenji Mozu, the young ninja, will face intense battles against giant, powerful bosses in his daring quest. Players can upgrade abilities, find hidden collectibles, and take on optional missions.

NINJA GAIDEN: Ragebound promises to have stunning pixel art that will bring its world to life with incredible detail. The devs aim to capture the look of the classic game while making the environments and enemies feel fresh and exciting. It will also come with an amazing soundtrack, featuring music from special guest composers, to give players an experience they won’t forget.
