Watch_Dogs is almost upon us and we’ve got some amazing news for those with older PC systems. According to the official PC Requirements list, Watch_Dogs needs at least 6GB of RAM. Well, today we can reveal that there won’t be any hard lock mechanism preventing users from playing this game, even if they only have 4GB of RAM.
This information comes from one of our sources that already has access to the game, and asked us to remain anonymous. Naturally, we were a bit cautious at first with this info but then Jonathan Morin, Creative Director of Watch_Dogs, stated the very same thing, thus making our source 100% credible.
In short, PC gamers with less than 6GB of RAM will be able to launch the game. There might be some swap issues when the game loads more data, but there won’t be any lock similar to the one found in the unpatched version of Call of Duty: Ghosts.
Watch_Dogs releases on May 27th!

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
