Remember that amazing mod for Crysis that is based on Naughty Dog’s platform game? Well, we have some bad news for you as Crash Bandicoot Returns is currently on hold. Now before jumping to early conclusions, this has nothing to do with the game’s copyrights. In other words, this is not due to either Sony or Activision, as they didn’t send a cease and desist to the team.
So, according to Anonym-Art Productions, the team is desperately in need of people to complete the development team. Anonym-Art Productions is searching for a “LUA / C++ programmer” and a animator of character so they can continue the project. Rest assured though that the project is not canceled. It’s just delayed.
In case you were unaware of, Crash Bandicoot Returns is a mod for Crysis and you can enjoy the following video from an early version of it!
John is the founder and Editor in Chief at DSOGaming. He is a PC gaming fan and highly supports the modding and indie communities. Before creating DSOGaming, John worked on numerous gaming websites. While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2. John has also written a higher degree thesis on the “The Evolution of PC graphics cards.”
