Our reader Crusnik8 has informed us about a new map for Crysis 2 that blends together Crysis 2 visuals with Mirror’s Edge parkour mechanics. This is a new multiplayer/singleplayer map, created by WaR_SPiRiT, where players can test their parkour skills in Crysis 2. Players can also compete together online in a race mode, or play various challenge modes.
It looks pretty interesting to say the least, though the maps are currently a bit bland and lack details. Still, it’s cool and we are sure that most Crysis 2 – and Mirror’s Edge – fans will appreciate.
As the description reads, players are asked to wait until all players/racers have spawned before activating any of the countdown switches. Players can shoot each other at will, though it might get a little annoying. Still, it’s an interesting feature due to Crysis 2’s gun mechanics that have not been removed, so cheaters will definitely exploit it.
To win the game/race, players need to capture the flag at the finish line. You can launch the map in single player by opening your console and typing: map WSJumpvC2.
The map works for both the singleplayer and multiplayer nanosuits – although their properties differ – and can be downloaded from here.
Enjoy!
