StudioMDHR Entertainment has released a brand new update for Cuphead. According to the release notes, patch 1.2 allows players to choose Mugman from the start of their adventure in single player, adds fully animated cut-scenes, introduces new animations and art, and more.
Going into slightly more details, Cuphead and Mugman have multiple fight intros, Chalice now grants Super Arts with a blast of magical energy, mummies explode in a shower of confetti, and dozens of other dazzling additions and adjustments were made throughout the game.
Moreover, Cuphead has an experimental DX9 mode. Those interested in accessing the DX9 branch can do so by going to the Betas tab in the Properties window and selecting “legacy- 1.1.5 DX9” version. Do note though that this version will not contain any of the new Free Content Update features, nor will it work with the upcoming DLC.
As always, Steam will download this latest update once you launch its client, and you can find its complete changelog below.
