Yesterday, CD Projekt RED announced the new release date for Cyberpunk 2077. As such, this new first-person cyberpunk RPG will come out on September 17th, 2020. Not only that, but its multiplayer mode will most likely release in 2022.
In case you weren’t aware of, CD Projekt RED is working on both a single-player and multiplayer mode for Cyberpunk 2077. The team aims to release first the single-player campaign, and then focus on its multiplayer mode. However, CD Projekt RED claimed that this most likely won’t happen in 2021.
As CD Projekt RED noted:
“Given the expected release of Cyberpunk 2077 in September, and speaking of a series of events we expect to occur after that date, 2021 appears unlikely as a release date for the Cyberpunk multiplayer.”
So yeah, don’t expect to be playing Cyberpunk 2077’s multiplayer mode anytime soon.
