Last week, we presented you some new screenshots from the standalone version of DayZ. Well, time now to see it in motion. Rocket and Matt provided a quick overview of some new elements of the DayZ Standalone project, including the new engine support for clothing, the revised loot spawning mechanics, and some new areas on the map. In all seriousness, this seems really close to the DayZ mod (in terms of visuals), so let’s hope that they’ll overhaul them in the coming months. Not that it is a bad thing, but then again we’d love to see a DayZ 2.0 and not a DayZ 1.3. Enjoy!

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
