Rumor alert everyone. Our reader ‘Inhuman0’ has informed us about a Steam entry from what seems to be Dead Rising 3, that was recently updated (meaning that this is not a mere placeholder). Steam’s registry rarely lies (yes, sometimes it does as Halo 3 is nowhere to be found) but since its info was updated 15 days ago, and there is also a Steam icon for the game.
Dead Rising 3 was released exclusively on Xbox One and had major performance issues. Not only that, but the game was unable to hit a 1080p resolution on Microsoft’s console. Which begs the question: If we do get a PC version of it, will it be optimized for multiple CPUs or will it be a mere console port?
Dead Rising 3 takes place in the vast city of Los Perdidos amid a nationwide zombie outbreak that’s on the brink of decimating mankind. The story follows Nick Ramos, a young mechanic with a strange tattoo and a mysterious past who must find a way to escape a city full of thousands of bloodthirsty zombies before an impending military strike wipes the city and everyone in it off the map. But Nick can’t do it alone — he must join up with other survivors to stay alive and fight their way out before it’s too late.
Microsoft may reveal more about this – rumored – PC version during E3, so stay tuned for more!

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
