Activision showcased the PC version of Destiny 2 in 4K at this year’s E3 event. And while the PC version was running with 60fps, we did not know the GPU that was powering it, as well as the graphics settings that were used. Until now.
Digital Foundry has confirmed that the PC version of Destiny 2 was running in 4K on Max settings and with 60fps on a single NVIDIA GeForce GTX1080Ti.
What’s also important here is that the framerate never dropped below 60fps during all the demanding scenarios that were featured in the game’s E3 2017 build.
As such, we are pretty sure that Destiny 2 will be well optimized on the PC.
Destiny 2 is coming to the PC on October 24th and will support 4K resolutions (3820×2160), uncapped framerates, mouse and keyboard with custom key mapping, text chat, adjustable Field of View, detailed PC settings screen and 21:9 monitors!

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
