Diablo 2 fans, here is something really special for you today. 3D Environment Artist, Michal Wawruch, released a demo of his Diablo 2 Remake in Unreal Engine 5. Yeap, this is a playable demo of Diablo 2 in Unreal Engine 5 that lets you explore one of its environments. So, be sure to download it while you still can.
For this tech demo of Diablo 2, the artist recreated the Durance of Hate environment in Unreal Engine 5. And yes, the demo takes advantage of both Nanite and Lumen. So, if you are interested in it, you can go ahead and download it from this link. Wawruch claimed that an NVIDIA GeForce GTX1060 is the minimum required GPU for it.
Below you can find a showcase video for this Diablo 2 Fan Remake. Among other things, the video has a bunch of comparison scenes between the original version and the UE5 Remake. As you will see, the UE5 remake stays true to the original game. And don’t get me wrong. Diablo 2 Resurrected was an amazing remake. Graphics-wise, though, this fan remake takes it to a whole new level.
Speaking of Unreal Engine 5, we recommend trying out these other free fan-made demos. You can grab a Superman UE5 Demo, a Halo 3: ODST Remake, and a Spider-Man UE5 Demo. There’s also a fan-made version of STALKER in Unreal Engine 5. If you love old-school FPS games, you should check out this remake of the classic FPS Blood in Epic’s engine. Don’t also forget the remake of Halo: Combat Evolved’s Halo level in UE5 or this free Attack on Titan game. Lastly, we have The Lord of the Rings: Conquest Reimagined in Unreal Engine 5 and The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time in UE 5.3.1. They all look awesome, so be sure to give them a try.
Have fun and stay tuned for more!

Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
