Last month, Codemasters announced a small delay for Dirt 5. And yesterday, the team announced another new delay for this upcoming racing game. According to Codemasters, Dirt 5 will now release on November 6th.
As the team noted, the revised launch date will allow Codemasters to release all versions of the game in a shorter timeframe. Codemasters did not clarify whether this extra delay will allow it to further optimize its racing game.
Frank Sagnier, Chief Executive Officer at Codemasters, said:
“DIRT 5 has received widespread critical acclaim, culminating with it receiving the gamescom 2020 Best Racing Game Award. The revised launch date will allow us to take advantage of the next generation console launches which are expected in time for the holiday season.”
Dirt 5 aims to deliver constant extreme action, continent to continent, in all manner of amplified events. Moreover, it will have a Career Mode with five chapters, over 130 events across nine race types and Throwdown challenges.
