Codemasters has released the first major update for DIRT 5 which adds wheel support across all platforms, improved online matchmaking, and other bug fixes and optimizations. Moreover, the team released a new trailer that you can find below.
Included in the update is the Snow Limits pack, which contains an array of festive new objects to use in DIRT 5’s Playgrounds mode, a brand new Sprint race event on the ice at Roosevelt Island, and some fresh customization options for your profile and liveries including holiday liveries for the Ford Mustang GT4 and Porsche Cayenne Transsyberia. Do note that this new content is free to all DIRT 5 players.
According to the Codies, the game now supports most modern wheel devices, including the latest range from Logitech and Thrustmaster.
Update 2.00 also brings a host of bug fixes and optimizations which enhance the racing experience across all platforms. Additionally, it includes improved online matchmaking. However, it does not bring any major performance improvements to the PC. And, as we’ve already reported, the game could benefit from some post-launch performance updates.
As always, Steam will download this update the next time you launch its client.
Enjoy!
