Bethesda has just announced that it will be releasing a free trial for Dishonored 2 on April 6th. According to the publisher, this free trial will allow players to dive into the first three missions of the campaign as either Empress Emily Kaldwin or the royal protector, Corvo Attano.
The free trial can be downloaded from Dishonored 2’s store page on Steam and players that decide to upgrade to the full game during or after the free trial will be able to keep all of the saves made during the trial, and can continue enjoying Dishonored 2’s campaign from where they left off.
Dishonored 2 is set 15 years after the Lord Regent has been vanquished and the dreaded Rat Plague has passed into history. As Emily or Corvo, players will travel beyond the legendary streets of Dunwall to Karnaca, the once-dazzling coastal city that holds the keys to restoring Emily to power.
For what it’s worth, the game still suffers from performance issues. Arkane Studios has released, so far, three game updates. And to be honest, especially since PREY is just around the corner, we don’t expect these performance issues to be ever fixed.
But hey, at least now you will be able to play and test the game before getting it!
