Now here is a pleasant surprise. THQ Nordic has just released a PC demo for the upcoming remaster of its vibrant 3D platformer, Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed. PC gamers can visit the game’s Steam store page and download its demo.
In this game, players will be able to explore a reimagined Wasteland, full of Disney’s timeless characters and stories. Their main weapon will be a magic brush. As such, they will be able to paint to create and thinner to alter.
Players will encounter various iconic characters like Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, Walt Disney’s first creation, as they travel between lands in Wasteland. They’ll also be able to collect virtual Disney pins, tackle creative challenges, and uncover secrets, all while exploring classic platforming levels inspired by animated films and shorts.
The remaster promises to feature advanced gameplay with new abilities. According to the game’s description, Mickey will now have new moves such as dash, ground pound and sprinting.
The publisher has also announced that the game will come out on September 24th. Moreover, it shared its official PC requirements.
PC gamers will at least need an AMD FX – 4300 or Intel Core i3 – 4130 with 8GB of RAM and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 or AMD Radeon R9 380. The game will also need 28GB of free disk space. From what we can see, it will only support the DX11 API, and not DX12. I don’t also see Denuvo listed in the page, so we can assume that it won’t be using it.
The devs recommend using an AMD FX – 8300 x8 or Intel Core i5 – 3570K with 8GB of RAM and an AMD Radeon RX 570 or NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050Ti.
Purple Lamp has not clarified the resolution, settings and framerate these PC specs target. Still, from these PC specs, we can definitely say that it will run on a winde range of PC configurations.
