All hell broke loose yesterday when PCGamer revealed that Valve would be commenting about Steam at E3 2021’s PC Gaming Show event. However, it appears that this message will not be the one you’ve been waiting for.
At first, PCGamer claimed that PC Gaming Show would have a “message from Valve regarding Steam“. Naturally, a lot speculated about this message. Disappointingly, though, PCGamer updated its article, stating that this message will be about Steam Next Fest.
In case you weren’t aware of, Steam Next Fest is an indie game jam of sorts. It is not directly an announcement about Steam or Valve. Thus, you should not expect a new game announcement from Valve, or the reveal of SteamPal (its rumored handheld device). And no, there won’t be a Half-Life 3 announcement.
The PC Gaming Show will air Sunday, June 13 at 2:30 PM PST / 5:30 PM EST.

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
