DOOM Eternal has done very good so far, being one of the best games in this legendary series. DOOM is all about slaying demons, it always was, though DOOM Eternal went a step further. However, even if the game is being considered a major success, there are some players who feel different, and still prefer the previous DOOM of 2016.
According to a recent post by Bethesda, id Software is working on a major update for the title. The update will be adding a host of optimizations, new event content, bug fixes and more. Furthermore, the update will add Empowered Demons, BATTLEMODE enhancements, single-player quality-of-life improvements and an ‘add a friend’ feature via Bethesda.net.
Empowered Demons will spice up the campaign by bringing these demons into the player’s game. When a player is killed in the single-player campaign, the demon that felled them is beefed up and transported to another player’s game to fight again. If the player manages to destroy the demon, he will be rewarded with tons of health and ammo, but also bonus XP to progress in-game events.
The BATTLEMODE will receive several enhancement, like changes to the tutorial walkthrough, poor network connection indicators, Echelon Leveling for players at the maximum level and a Death Report screen to offer players more combat insight mid-match. They are also going to implement Denuvo Anticheat features.
Lastly, id Software is planning to address a few balance concerns and annoyances players have brought to their attenuation. Some of these changes include expanded demon tutorials, dashing vertically in water and adjusting toxic damage while swimming.
