And as we had already guessed, Massive Chalise has been funded in just a couple of days. Double Fine’s upcoming turn-based strategy game has already raised $795K, surpassing its initial goal of $750K. Contrary to other companies though, Double Fine did not reveal any stretch goals for it.
Double Fine claimed that it has tons of ideas for this title and as most of you would expect, a number of those ideas won’t make it through production. Which is precisely why Double Fine did not announce any stretch goals.
“The exciting thing about taking the game to you guys at this early stage is that some of your ideas are even better than ours. As we go through pre-production into production, some of these ideas are going to trump ours, leading to a game that’s more in line with what our community wants! That’s amazing and we love having you involved in the process!”
Double Fine concluded on its latest Kickstarter update that it will be using any amount of extra funding to add new features and iterate on the ideas generated by both its employees and its fans.
