As we’ve informed you at our Performance Analysis of Dungeon Siege III, Obsidian’s game had various SLI issues. To be more precise, there were a lot of places where the game didn’t scale well and offered pretty low performance. The solution to avoid those framerate drops, was to run the game under Single GPU mode. However, here is a new SLI compatibility bit that offers great scaling without any slowdowns.
As always, you’ll have to use the Nvidia Inspector Tool. Open and it and find Dungeon Siege III’s profile. All you have to do now, is to replace the SLI compatibility bit. The original SLI bit is ‘0x00400005’. Replace it with the ‘0x00400405’ and enjoy a better gaming experience, without those framerate drops that were occurring previously.

Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
