D3 Publisher has officially announced that Earth Defense Force 5 is officially coming to the PC later this month. The publisher has launched the game’s Steam store page, revealing also its official PC requirements.
As its description reads, Earth Defense Force 5 is an arcade shooter that takes place in the year 2022, as the Earth Defense Force fends off an all-out attack by unknown life forms. Players will become an EDF soldier, battle against endless hordes of immense enemies, and restore peace to the earth.
This latest entry in the EDF franchise promises to have more missions and weapons than any before it. On top of that, all missions support online co-op of up to 4 players, as well as local split-screen. Moreover, the game will feature more “realistic” battles as armor will peel off where you shoot enemies, and their fluids will spill out onto buildings and floors.
According to the specs, PC gamers will at least need an Intel Core i5-4440 3.10GHz or an AMD A10-7850K CPU with 8GB of RAM and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 or an AMD Radeon HD 7970 graphics card.
