Konami has announced that eFootball 2022 will be the official title for its platform’s first season, and will release on September 30th. In addition, Konami detailed its first post-launch update which will release this Autumn.
eFootball will be using Unreal Engine 4 and will release on current-gen and old-gen consoles, as well as PC and mobile devices. The game will also support cross-play between all platforms (via post-launch patches, not at launch).
Now as we’ve already reported, the game will not feature any Master League mode at launch as Konami plans to add it as paid DLC in the future. What’s even funnier here is that two gameplay features will arrive after the game’s launch. Not only that, but Konami itself has called the game’s launch version a demo.
According to the company, the game’s first patch will bring over 600 licensed clubs. Moreover, it will pack new match modes (the promised Master League mode perhaps?). Furthermore, it will bring new player types – all the way from Standard to Legendary.
I’ve also included below the official gameplay trailer for eFootball (which we shared a while back).

Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
