In an interview with Venturebeat, EIDOS Montreal studio head, David Anfossi, confirmed that the team is working on three games. The first game is Shadow of the Tomb Raider, the second is The Avengers, and the third is an unannounced title.
As Anfossi told Venturebeat:
“We announced Shadow. We also announced The Avengers, which is a collaboration with Crystal Dynamics. We have a third game development. I can’t speak about this one, because we’re still at an early stage to define the product itself. But it’s definitely triple-A. But we have these incubation projects as well, where we try new things. Whether it’s about content or the way we develop games, it’s some kind of laboratory to test different things.”
Anfossi stated that EIDOS Montreal is aware of the disappointment regarding Rise of the Tomb Raider, and claimed that Shadow of the Tomb Raider will feature lots of huge, crazy puzzles that could actually work.
Last but not least, Anfossi reaffirmed that Deus Ex is very important for EIDOS Montreal, and that “when it will be the time for Deus Ex, it will be the time, and we’ll do it correctly.” So yeah, don’t expect a new Deus Ex game anytime soon!

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
