Frontier Developments announced today that Elite Dangerous: Horizons is now available for free for all owners of Elite Dangerous. All the season content included in Horizons is now part of the Elite Dangerous base game including planetary landings and surface recon vehicles.
Horizons also features multicrew joint operations, weapon crafting, ship-launched fighters, permission to land at many surface star ports and other locations. Additionally, it provides access to the coveted services of the elusive Engineers, offering countless new gameplay opportunities for all Commanders.
In Elite Dangerous, players can fly with friends, fight for a cause or go it alone. Players’ actions change the galaxy around them in an ever-unfolding story. Players can also explore a detailed 1:1 model of our real galaxy, and be the first to discover one of 400 billion star systems.
Have fun!

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
