Microids has revealed the preliminary PC system requirements for its Unreal Engine 5-powered strategy game, Empire of the Ants. Empire of the Ants will take advantage of both Nanite and Lumen, and it will have ants that will consist of over 50,000 triangles.
To run it, PC gamers will at least need an Intel Core i5 9400 or AMD Ryzen 5 2600 with 16GB of RAM and an AMD Radeon RX 580 or an Nvidia Geforce GTX 1060. The game will also require 30GB of free disk space.
Tower Five recommends using an Intel Core i5 9600 or AMD Ryzen 5 3600 with 16GB of RAM and an AMD Radeon RX 6800 or an Nvidia Geforce RTX 3080.
Sadly, the devs did not share the resolution, graphics settings and framerate that these PC requirements target. We also don’t know whether or not the game will support NVIDIA DLSS 3 or AMD FSR 3.0 at launch.
Empire of the Ants promises to have a photorealistic forest where players will meet and interact with other ants and forest dwellers. The game will also have day and night environments. The devs claimed that there will be day, night, dawn, and twilight TODs.
Microids will release Empires of the Ants on November 7th. We’ll be sure to let you know if the publisher changes the game’s PC requirements prior to its release. Until then, you can go ahead and take a look at these preliminary PC specs.

Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
