Epic Games and Giant IronHorse released a new, DX11 benchmark tool for Unreal Engine 3. This demo is from the Chinese game ‘Passion Leads Army’ that is developed by Giant IronHorse and showcases PhysX effects, tessellation, Horizon-Based Ambient Occlusion (HBAO), and Bokeh Depth of Field, and all DX11 features that are supported by this game. You can find below a flythrough video – from YouTube’s member ‘diddler1979’ – and its download link.

Giant IronHorse’s shooter is one of the most graphically advanced Chinese titles to date, in part thanks to the use of Epic Games’ Unreal Engine 3. Featuring a range of DirectX 11 effects, such as tessellation and Bokeh depth of field, PLA also makes extensive use of NVIDIA’s GPU-accelerated PhysX technology to generate realistic, physics-led effects. To help promote PLA, and to get gamers ready for its launch later this year, Giant IronHorse has released the first-ever Chinese-developed DirectX 11 benchmark featuring the aforementioned range of effects.
Enjoy!

Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
