Rebellion has announced that Evil Genius 2 has been delayed until 2021. According to the team, the main reason behind this delay is the COVID-19 outbreak. While the team initially planned to release the game in 2020, the COVID-19 outbreak had a major impact on the game’s development.

Rebellion will use this extra time in order to further polish the game. Moreover, the team will release new screenshots and gameplay trailers later this year. Additionally, the team will soon reveal more details about the game’s closed beta phase.
Evil Genius 2 is a satirical spy-fi lair builder where you are the criminal mastermind. In this game, players will have to construct their base, train their minions, defend their operations from the Forces of Justice, and achieve global domination.
Players can pick their paradise and put their own sinister stamp on it. Players can also shape the internal structure of their hazardous hideaway to fit their play-style, and construct wonderfully wicked devices for their minions to put to use.
As players expand and train their minion workforce, they can create new specialists to help further their evil plans. Additionally, they can research and develop a series of trap networks.
