As we reported last month, Fallout 76’s Wastelanders free DLC will add a dialogue system to the game. And during this year’s QuakeCon, Bethesda revealed that this system will be similar to the one featured in Fallout 3 and not to what we got in Fallout 4.
As project lead Jeff Gardiner said during the Fallout 76 panel discussion:
“Also, remember this isn’t the Fallout 4 dialogue system. This is more like Fallout 3, where you have a list of stuff. So you’ll have a list of things, and you’re not just limited to those generic options.”
Fallout 4’s dialogue system was criticized by a lot of gamers so it’s good knowing that the upcoming dialogue system for Fallout 76 will not be based on it.
Fallout 76 Wastelanders is currently scheduled for a Fall 2019 release. In addition to the new dialogue system, Wastelanders will add new weapons, including a series of new Gauss rifles, more plasma weapons, and bows and arrows, as well as new enemies.
