Focus Entertainment and Deck13 have announced that their upcoming fantasy action RPG, Atlas Fallen, has been delayed until August 10th. According to the teams, this will give the developers enough time to further polish it.
To be honest, I’m a bit optimistic about this game. From what I’ve seen so far, Atlas Fallen looks kind of an interesting action RPG. Sure thing, this won’t be the next GOTY. Since I enjoyed Wo Long, though, it’s a game I’m looking forward to.
It’s also worth noting that earlier this month, Focus Entertainment released a gameplay trailer for Atlas Fallen. That trailer showcased combat mechanics similar to Sekiro and Dark Souls. It also appeared to be more fast-paced than The Surge 2.
Anyway, let’s hope that Deck13 won’t drop the ball with this one. Let’s also hope that the PC version won’t be plagued by any optimization issues. According to reports, the game will be using Unreal Engine 5. In other words, it will be one of the first UE5 games. But, who am I kidding, right? Of course and it’ll have shader compilation stutters.
Stay tuned for more!
