Ubisoft has announced that Far Cry 5 will be free to play this weekend. From May 29th and until May 31st, PC gamers will be able to download and play it. Do note, though, that this is a free to play offer. Thus, you won’t be able to access/play the game when the free weekend ends.
According to Ubisoft, pre-load will start on May 27th, and your progress will transfer to the final game once – and if – you purchase it. Furthermore, Ubisoft will be offering Far Cry 5 with a 75% discount this weekend.
Far Cry 5 takes place in Hope County, Montana, in which players’ arrival incites the cult to violently seize control of the region. Thus, players must rise up and spark the fires of resistance to liberate a besieged community.
The game features customizable weapons and a big vehicle roster. Moreover, players will be able to freely explore Hope County’s rivers, lands, and skies.
Additionally, Far Cry 5 takes advantage of Rapid Packed Math which will allow a graphics card to execute two math instructions for the price of one. However, and like most Ubisoft games, the game still uses the Denuvo anti-tamper tech.
Have fun!

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
