Ah, Steam’s registry. Such a remarkable tool and it’s really great that most – if not all – of its leaked games are officially unveiled – at a later date – for the PC platform. A couple of months ago, it was revealed via that registry that Fez was coming to the PC. Fast forward and here we are today with a release date for that version. Yes, Fez is coming and will be released in May 1st.
Spotted by our reader ‘Gianluca Manocchio’ (and thanks to Joystiq), Fez’s Steam page is now live, with a release date set for it. According to the game’s Steam page, the PC version is developed by Polytron and it will be published by Trapdoor.
As Fez’s description reads, Gomez is a 2D creature living in a 2D world. When the existence of a mysterious 3rd dimension is revealed to him, Gomez is sent out on a journey that will take him to the very end of time and space.
In order to progress, players will be able to use their ability to navigate 3D structures from 4 distinct classic 2D perspectives.
Enjoy!
