Mojang has unveiled some new information – as well as the first gameplay trailer – about their upcoming turn-based game, Scrolls. Scrolls aims to take the genre of Collectible Card Games to a whole new level and is packed with a streamlined gameplay that is aimed towards digital online gaming, auction houses, single-player campaigns and an array of multi-player gaming modes such as friendly matches, tournaments and ranked matches.
Make no mistake everyone, this is not a triple-A title. In fact, it looks like a Facebook game. On the other hand, it looks quite fun and addictive so you should not avoid it due to its simplistic look and mechanics.
Scrolls is currently in alpha stage and will soon hit the closed beta phase. Scrolls’ closed beta test will include multiplayer matches, single player matches vs AI and the Deck Builder, where you can build your decks out of the 100+ scrolls that currently exist in the game.
After the closed beta phase, Mojang will offer an open beta build where players will be able to buy the game at a reduced price and with some added benefits.
Enjoy!
