Miles Jacobson, the game director of the Football Manager series, has announced that the Football Manager 2019 family has surpassed, for the first time ever, two million sales on all platforms. This shows how popular this soccer manager series actually is, and why SEGA and Sports Interactive are releasing annual versions of it each and every year.
Do note that by saying Football Manager 2019 family, Jacobson basically means Football Manager 2019, Football Manager Mobile 2019 and Football Manager Touch 2019.
The FM19 family (FM/FMM/FMT) has just surpassed TWO MILLION sales across the different platforms – the first time that one of our annual releases has done this.
Thank you all so much for your support over the years. You keep buying 'em, and we'll keep making 'em 🙂— Miles Jacobson 💙 (@milesSI) July 22, 2019
Football Manager 2019 was released in November 2019, meaning that it took the team almost eight months to hit that 2 million goal.
Naturally, Sports Interactive is currently working on Football Manager 2020 which will most likely be released in November 2020. The team has not revealed any details yet about this new FM game, though we’ll be sure to keep you posted!

Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
