Epic Games has announced that Fortnite has surpassed 30 million players. Moreover, this past weekend the game had 1.3 million concurrent players. In order to celebrate this achievement, Epic Games has released a limited-time 50v50 mode for Fortnite: Battle Royale.
This mode will put one team against another and promises to feature some truly huge and epic battles. However, this mode will be available until December 17th. Epic will then remove this mode and players will have to return to the more “normal” battle royale mode.
Furthermore, Epic stated that it wants to support cross-play between all different platforms. The team will do its best to implement this feature, though this is entirely up to Sony and Microsoft. Our guess is that Epic will try and pressure them in order to enable it.
Last but not least, Epic released a new trailer for Fortnite: Battle Royale’s new 50v50 mode, and you can watch it below!

Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
