Steam Next Fest October 2024 Edition launches today, and a few cool free demos have already been released. Right now, you can download the demos for AI Limit, The Precinct, Delta Force, Empires of the Ants and Amerzone Remake.
Let’s start with AI Limit. This is a post-apocalyptic wasteland sci-fi ARPG, you will play as Arrisa, a Blader with immortality. AI Limit is basically a new Dark Souls-like game. It also appears to have a cool art style. So, if you are a fan of the genre, I’d suggest taking a look at it. You can download its demo from here.
Empire of the Ants is a new strategy game in which you control a colony of ants. The game will be using Unreal Engine 5, and promises to have a photorealistic forest where players will meet and interact with other ants and forest dwellers. This is a great-looking game, and its devs have claimed that there will be day, night, dawn, and twilight TODs. You can download its demo from this link.
The Precinct is a game I’ve been really looking forward to. In this game, you play as a police officer working to clean up the city and uncover secrets. You’ll go on exciting car chases through areas that can be completely destroyed. The game mixes the detailed work of a police simulator with the excitement of a big, action-packed sandbox game. You can patrol the streets, respond to calls, and stop all kinds of criminals. Plus, when it comes to chasing or fighting criminals, you get to pick your own strategy. So, make sure to download its demo from here.
By now, I’m certain most of you know the new Delta Force game. And, during the Next Fest event, Steam owners are able to play its ongoing beta/demo. The beta allows access to two of the game’s modes. These are Havoc Warfare and Hazard Operations. Havoc Warfare is a Battlefield-like mode, whereas Hazard Operations is an extraction mode. You can download the beta from this link.
Finally, Microids has released a demo for its upcoming remake of Amerzone. Similar to the Myst/Riven games, the Amerzone Remake will have full 3D graphics. As such, players will be able to navigate in explore the environments in 3D. This will be a dream come true for a lot of adventure fans. So, if you are one of them, you should download its demo from here.
Have fun!

Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
