Crytek announced today that its new online shooter, Warface, is now live and playable for free in North America, Europe and Turkey on GFACE. Players can gain instant access to the game by signing up at its official website.
As the press release reads, Warface blends Crytek’s trademark quality with instant accessibility, and can be enjoyed by shooter fans directly in their PC browser. The game features a wealth of cooperative and competitive game modes, four distinct soldier classes, and a special emphasis on working as a team. Constant updates ensure that players can always look forward to a fresh challenge as they join friends on the frontline.
Dirk Metzger, Crytek’s General Manager of Publishing, said:
“Our goal with Warface has always been to show that free-to-play games can be top quality, blockbuster experiences that match the industry’s highest standards. By bringing the game to players in North America, Europe and Turkey today, a vast new audience can now see for themselves the lengths we’ve gone to in order to achieve that vision and make Warface stand out from the crowd.”
To provide players everywhere with the best possible gameplay experience, Warface is localized into English, French, German and Turkish, with more languages set to follow.
Upon signing up for Warface, players will receive a free account at Crytek’s gaming-centric social hub, GFACE; which also goes live today. GFACE will act as a gateway to Warface and provide an intuitive environment in which to chat with fellow players, organize play sessions, socialize and much more.
To mark today’s announcement, Crytek have launched a new Warface trailer offering an insight into the power struggle between the game’s two rival forces; Warface and Blackwood.
