Ubisoft announced today that From Dust, a modern God game from visionary creator Eric Chahi, is available today for Google Chrome Browser for £7.99 for the first week, then for £11.59. From Dust allows players to control the destiny of a primitive tribe against the backdrop of a world in constant evolution, in one of the most advanced real-time nature simulations, where everything you see and interact with evolves dynamically.
Google Chrome allows users to experience the full From Dust experience from directly within their browser, which is possible thanks to the Native Client technology, an open-source technology that allows web applications to seamlessly execute native compiled code inside the browser.
Thomas Paincon, EMEA FTP Publishing Director said:
“Adapting a game like From Dust for Chrome is part of Ubisoft’s strategy to attract new players, by offering creative and innovative gaming experiences across a multitude of platforms. Google’s Chrome Browser has a substantial segment of the worldwide internet browser market share, which is a large potential audience for us to engage.”

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
