Mode 7 Games announced today that the public beta phase for its latest title, Frozen Endzone, is a go. With the full game slated for release in late 2014, Frozen Endzone’s beta is now live – giving anyone who pre-orders the game instant access to a work-in-progress version.
Paul Taylor, co-managing director of Mode 7, said:
“Frozen Endzone is a hugely ambitious game for us. We wanted to make a simultaneous-turn-based game that translates your actions into ridiculously exciting cinematic outcomes. That somewhat overly specific dream is now coming together!”
Indie studio Mode 7 will use cash generated from the beta to help fund the remainder of development as they work towards the game’s completion next year.
Frozen Endzone is a simultaneous-turn-based game of tactics and tremendously aggressive robots. The attacking player must attempt to get the ball in their opponent’s endzone, or into a midzone in the middle of the field, in order to score points. Naturally, the defending player’s goal is to stop this from happening.
Enjoy!
