Half-Life fans, here is some bad and some really bad news. In a recent interview with SevenDayCoolDown, Gabe revealed that Valve’s silence is fairer to the Half Life fans. According to Gabe, Valve has not finalised the formula yet and they are still experimenting with Half Life 3’s concept. Currently, there are a lot of twists and turns and those decisions could possibly drive Half-Life fans more crazy.
As Gabe said:
“The problem is, we think that the twists and turns that we’re going through would probably drive people more crazy than just being silent about it, until we can be very crisp about what’s happening next.”
This pretty much means that Valve is not ready yet to announce anything regarding this rumored title. Moreover, Gabe revealed – via a mail – that Valve would not announce anything new in this year’s E3. Thanks to Reddit for sharing the image.
So there you have it guys. Could Valve tease us with something about HL3? Possibly. Let’s not forget that back in 2010, Gabe came out of nowhere and revealed the PS3 version Portal 2 in Sony’s E3 Conference. There is definitely a light at the end of the tunnel. Question is, though, when we’ll finally reach that end. Stay tuned for more!

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
