Gas Powered Games and Chris Taylor have unveiled the first gameplay footage of their upcoming RPG/RTS hybrid, Wildman. According to Taylor, this is extremely early development footage using an older version of their 3D rendering technology with the lighting removed and placeholder models and textures. For those interested in the new tech, Wildman will use deferred rendering and will look significantly better. Wildman features a fixed isometric/top-down camera like Diablo, or Dungeon Siege minus the ability to rotate the camera, and uses standard PC action-RPG controls. In addition, Wildman won’t use any kind of DRM and will support both Offline and Online modes. Enjoy!

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2. John has also written a higher degree thesis on the “The Evolution of PC graphics cards.”
