GOG.com announced today that it is officially adding Windows 8 support to the platform for more than 430 titles, with more to come in the upcoming months. As part of its mission to bring the best games in history to PC and Mac gamers, the service has added the new OS to its service.
Guillaume Rambourg, managing director of GOG.com said:
“The majority of games that we support for Windows 7 work on Microsoft’s new OS already, but we’ve also put hard work into updating many of the titles that may be harder to get running under the new Windows as well. The result of re-testing and updating our entire catalog is evident now with our official support of Windows 8. Gamers who are looking for a great opportunity to pick up the best games in history on their new OS will surely find something for them in the newly-updated GOG.com catalog.”
GOG.com will also be updating their catalog to allow users who want to search for games which are localized into languages other than English. Starting on 29 November 2012, the catalog will have more than a dozen different languages that users can filter by, including German, French, Italian, Spanish, Russian, Czech, and Turkish.

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
