GOG is currently offering free copies of Frictional Games’ latest sci-fi horror game, SOMA. SOMA is a unique game, created by the developers of the Amnesia and Penumbra games, as it tells an unsettling story about identity, consciousness, and what it means to be human.
In SOMA, players will delve through locked terminals and secret documents to uncover the truth behind the chaos. Players will seek out the last remaining inhabitants and take part in the events that will ultimately shape the fate of the station. However, danger lurks in every corner as players will encounter corrupted humans, twisted creatures, insane robots, and even an inscrutable omnipresent A.I.
This free offer will end in about 46 hours so make sure to acquire your free copy while you still can. Also, and as with all GOG releases, this SOMA version does not pack any DRM.
Those interested can get their free copy from here.
Have fun!

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
