GoldenZen and a team of modders are currently working on a fan remake of the classic GoldenEye 007 Nintendo 64 game in Unreal Engine 4, and released the first videos from it. This upcoming fan remake is called GoldenEye 25, and the following videos will give you an idea of what the team aims to achieve.
GoldenEye 25 is still in a really early phase. The first video showcases an early version of the Facility level, while the second shows the newly implemented weapon sway mechanics. The third is a behind-the-scenes video regarding the game’s dynamic music system.
Now I don’t know whether this team will be able to complete this remake of the beloved N64 shooter. From the looks of it, this remake stays true to the original version so we are curious whether the AI will be overhauled and whether all the enemy models will receive significant visual upgrades.
It will be also interesting to see whether Nintendo – who appears to own the rights for the original Nintendo 64 version of GoldenEye 007 – will shut down this project or not.
GoldenEye: Source, another total conversion mod developed using Source engine that is also based on this N64 game, is still available though it only focuses on multiplayer matches.
Enjoy!

Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
