Amazing news for first person shooter fans, as Gotham City Imposters has embraced the free-to-play model and is available right now on Steam. But wait, there is more to that. Monolith has decided to ditch Games For Windows Live, meaning that this free-to-play version of Gotham City Imposters uses Steamworks. Hell, bloody, yeah.
In case you weren’t aware of, Gotham City Impostors is a download-only multiplayer FPS that pits violent vigilantes dressed up like Batman against craven criminals dressed up like the Joker in open warfare on the streets of Gotham City.
Unfortunately, we do not know if there is a bonus to all those who had previously purchased the game and its DLCs. It’s frustrating witnessing a game – that you paid for – going F2P, but hopefully Monolith and Warner Bros will find a way to reward their customers.
Those interested can install Gotham City Imposters F2P from its Steam page.
