Boris Vorontsov has released the first public beta version of his ENBSeries mod for Grand Theft Auto V. According to Boris, this first version comes with limited functionality, and can be used mostly for testing compatibility with software and hardware.
In case you weren’t aware of, ENBSeries is 3d graphics modification for a lot of games – including now GTA V – that modifies render functions calls of the games in order to apply additional effects.
As such, modders can use modern-day effects such as SSAO, SSIL, Depth Of Field, Lens FX, Bloom, true HDR, Tone Mapping, Sharpening, Vignette, Sun Rays, Shadows, Detailed Shadows and Reflections.
Those interested can download this first beta version from here. Boris claimed that this version is not configured properly, meaning that players may need to visit its official forum and download some of the configs created by its members.
Players can also edit parameters to their own tastes via the integrated editor (you can display it by pressing SHIFT and ENTER keys simultaneously).
Here is a video from YouTube’s member ‘Unreal’ showing this first beta version of GTA V Enbseries in action!

Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
