GTA V’s PC petition has managed to hit its initial goal of 100K signatures. After getting exposed to most major gaming websites a couple of days ago, the petition has managed to hit its goal, and is now seeking for 150K signatures. Of course, this has little to do with whether or not Rockstar will release the game on the PC. Okay, we all know that it will come after a couple of months, but still… this petition shows that there is a PC market willing to play this sandbox game on that particular platform.
Naturally, if you think that you can make a difference, you can still sign the petition.
As we said, a couple of days ago, we strongly feel that GTA V will come to the PC – after a couple of months from the release of the console versions – and that this petition is a bit useless. Rockstar already knows that PC gamers are interested in it.
Regarding the absence of a PC version for Red Dead Redemption, we should – once again – remind you that the Red Dead series was always focused on consoles. Red Dead is developed by Rockstar San Diego, while the GTA series is developed by Rockstar North. And unsurprisingly, all of Rockstar North’s games have found their way on the PC.

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2. John has also written a higher degree thesis on the “The Evolution of PC graphics cards.”
