Crate Entertainment announced that the mod tools for its recently released Action RPG, Grim Dawn, will be released to the public this week. As the press release reads, the modding tools provided will be the same tools that were used by the development team in the creation of the game.
This will grant players vast opportunities to create their own content, items, classes and even entire worlds.
Advanced users can take advantage of Lua support to script complex gameplay events and create entirely new types of content not seen in the base game.
Grim Dawn was released back in February 2016 and delivers on the fast-paced, brutal combat and epic loot players expect, but also pushes the genre forward with choice & consequence questing, a faction reputation system, the Devotion character customization system and more.
The game’s modding tools will be available for free to all owners of the game as part of the next game update.
