Thunder Lotus Games announced today the release of its hotly anticipated hand-drawn Metroidvania game, Sundered. Notably galvanized by the release are the game’s 4,600 Kickstarter backers, who had made Sundered’s January 2017 crowdfunding campaign one of the year’s notable successes.
The game is purchasable today with a launch week discount on Steam, GOG, Humble Store, Origin and Uplay PC.
Sundered is described as a horrifying fight for survival and sanity, and a hand-drawn epic from the creators of Jotun. You play Eshe, a wanderer in a ruined world, trapped in ever-changing caverns teeming with eldritch horrors. Harness the power of corrupted relics to defeat gigantic bosses, at the cost of your humanity.
Will Dubé, Creative Director and President of Thunder Lotus Games, said:
“I’m proud to say that Sundered is by far the best game we’ve ever made. And prouder still to have released a second high-quality game on time and on budget. This simply wouldn’t have been possible without the fans that have given us tremendous support since day one.”

Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
