Ubisoft has revealed the official PC system requirements for its upcoming Star Wars game, Star Wars: Outlaws. Star Wars: Outlaws will be powered by the Snowdrop Engine, so let’s see what you’ll need in order to run it.
For gaming at 1080p/Low Settings with 30fps and FSR Quality, players will need an AMD Ryzen 5 3600 or Intel Core i7-8700K with 16GB of RAM and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 or an AMD RX 5600XT or an Intel Arc A750. The game will also require 65GB of free disk space, and Ubisoft suggests using an SSD.
To get 60fps at 1080p/High with DLSS/FSR Quality, you’ll need an AMD Ryzen 5 5600X or Intel Core i5-10400 with 16GB of RAM and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Ti or an AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT.
For those who have a 1440p monitor and want to play on High settings with 60fps, they’ll need an AMD Ryzen 7 5800X or Intel Core i5-11600K with 16GB of RAM and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080/NVidia GeForce RTX 4070 or an AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT. And, as with the previous presets, you’ll also need to enable an upscaler (NVIDIA DLSS, Intel XeSS or AMD FSR) in quality mode.
Finally, to play Star Wars: Outlaws at 4K/Ultra with 60fps, you’ll need an AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D or Intel Core i7-12700K with 16GB of RAM and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 or AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX. And as you may have guessed, that’s not at Native 4K. Instead, you’ll have to rely on DLSS Quality or FSR Quality.
From what we know, thegame will have Ray Tracing effects and support DLSS 3.5 Ray Reconstruction. Ubisoft and NVIDIA haven’t shared more details about these RT effects yet. Personally, I think we might get RTGI, like the one we saw in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora. And it appears I’m right. According to NVIDIA’s Jacob, the game will have ray-traced shadows, reflections and RTGI.
Ubisoft will release this new Star Wars game on August 30th.
Enjoy and stay tuned for more!
