Capcom has just released the PC demo of Resident Evil Village and as we’ve already reported, it comes with a timer. This demo lets PC gamers play it for 60 minutes. Thankfully, though, there is a way via which you can reset the timer.
In order to reset the timer, you’ll have to follow this guide. Basically, you’ll have to delete your local save files, disable Steam Cloud for the demo, and download Steam SAM. After that, your timer will be reset.
- Disable Steam Cloud for RE8 Demo
- Download Steam SAM (Steam Achievement Manager)
- Delete Local Savefiles
(Located: D:\Steam\userdata\<YOUR STEAM ID>\1541780\remote\win64_save\
Delete those Files. - Start Steam SAM
- Select RE8 Demo
- Remove Achievements and Stats, confirm.
I’m pretty sure that there will be a mod in the next few days that will completely remove the timer.
Resident Evil Village releases on May 7th. You can also find some 4K Ray Tracing screenshots from the demo here.
Stay tuned for more and kudos to Steam’s user Leaves for the guide.
